World Wide Technology Asynchrony Labs today announced that it has been awarded a prime fielded contract on the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense (JPEO-CBD), more commonly known as the JE-RDAP omnibus contract (Joint Enterprise Research, Development, Acquisition and Production and Procurement). The JPEO-CBD manages and delivers chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) defense capabilities for the U.S. Department of Defense.
In 2015, Asynchrony Solutions, Inc was acquired by World Wide Technology (WWT), a $12 billion minority-owned company that is one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the US, and is continually ranked as one of the best places to work. WWT has a $1.4 billion federal practice supporting primarily the US Military.
WWT and Asynchrony Solutions, Inc (collectively, WWT Asynchrony Labs (WWTAL)) has developed and supported the Mobile Field Kit (MFK), a platform that provides a sensor integration, situational awareness, and collaboration tool suite supporting the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear Explosive CBRNE Enterprise (CBRNE).
The JE-RDAP contract is a strategic win for WWT Asynchrony Labs as it is offers the procurement structure under which its existing Mobile Field Kit solution and related development work can continue to expand and drive new MFK technology into the future. This is an $8.27 billion multiple award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract (MA-IDIQ) intended to strengthen national CBRNE defense systems and capabilities. This contract is geared towards supporting projects from all product lifecycle stages, including research, development, prototype, and production. Final implementation will include CBRNE systems, capabilities, equipment, supplies and material; installation protection; radiological/nuclear defense systems; and CBRNE information systems.
Additionally, the company now has the opportunity to compete for new business with other joint service program offices (Contamination Avoidance, Guardian, Information Systems, Protection, and Medical Countermeasure Systems) that support all ongoing work in the CWMD and CBRNE space.
“Being awarded a contract for this program is significant to WWT Asynchrony Labs as a company, but also for long-term support of CBRNE missions,” said Robert Elfanbaum, General Manager of WWTAL.
