ASYNCHRONY SOLUTIONS OPENS NEW HUBZONE COMPANY IN ST. LOUIS

Leading IT consulting firm to boost local economy and offer HUBZone program to government and business

ST. LOUIS (May, 2005) -- Asynchrony Solutions, Inc. (www.asolutions.com), a leading information technology firm, today announced the formation of a new company, Asynchrony HUBZone, LLC. The new company will participate in the HUBZone Empowerment Contracting Program which was created through an act of Congress in 1997 to help increase employment opportunities and stimulate economic development and capital investment in distressed communities across the United States.

Through legislation sponsored by Missouri U.S. Senator Christopher “Kit” Bond, a program was created to provide preferences for federal contracting awards to qualified small businesses owned by U.S. Citizens whose primary office and at least 35% of its employee pool are located in a HUBZone.

By locating in downtown St. Louis and committing to the 35% HUBZone employee residency requirement, Asynchrony HUBZone will contribute to the recent revitalization of the downtown area by creating new employment, investment, and economic development. Asynchrony HUBZone has pioneered an in-house incentive program to motivate employees to relocate into a federally designated HUBZone and will work with recruiting firms and online job marketplaces to develop systems that target the resumes of HUBZone residents. As a certified HUBZone company, federal contracting preferences will be available to Asynchrony HUBZone to help accelerate growth of revenues and jobs. This will then stimulate capital investment and economic development in the St. Louis economy.

Like Asynchrony Solutions, the new company will provide systems integration, custom application development and secure collaboration. Asynchrony HUBZone, however, will be a vehicle for government and large businesses to fulfill their federal requirements to contract a percentage of their work with HUBZone companies. Each federal agency is required to conduct 3% of their annual business with HUBZone companies.

“Asynchrony HUBZone will allow us to further service our Department of Defense clients by helping them meet their federal requirement to conduct business with small companies located in a HUBZone,” said Steve Elfanbaum, president of Asynchrony Solutions. “Furthermore, we're helping the local economy by offering employment to skilled residents living in an underutilized area. It’s a win-win for the City of St. Louis and small business.”

Asynchrony Solutions, founded in 1999, has expanded at an average 75% annual growth rate and was recently awarded one of Greater St. Louis' Top 50 Businesses Shaping Our Future.
